Do not assume the punks there are leftist, lots of nazi arseholes and homicidal nutcases on speed looking for fights there...

Hmm...interesting range of opinions on Rotterdam, which run the gamut from "it's the greatest city on earth" to "I'm glad Hitler bombed it" and "watch out for coked-up neo-nazis"...interesting

Amsterdam and rotterdam hate each other with such intensity that they often even refuse to utter each others name and only refer to each other only by their telephone id codes.

Well if you're into metal and the occasional punk show you could visit the Baroeg but I stopped going there after I was 17 or whatever. As Psycho said, too many nazis or 'patriotic fencesitters' in my opinion.

The Waterfront used to be a great place for a DnB or Dubstep party, though it's closed now. Has been relocated to Club WATT which apparently went bankrupt since the last time I was there (I don't remember much, was drunk as fuck with some comrades during a christmas Dubstep all-nighter).

Personally I dislike the atmosphere in Rotterdam, way to impersonal, distant and the cops give off even worse vibes than usual, if you ask me. There's no leftist activity to speak of as far as I know either. Not to pick sides but there's a good and speedy connection to Amsterdam though :p

Are you staying long?

That, together with that film of that aweful farking pile of concrete filled with "singing" asses makes me hate you.

Most Dutch on here aren't from Rotterdam or surroundings. Though objectively you can't hate Rotterdam as a communist since it has always been regarded as the Dutch city of workers, mostly in it's harbor which was the world's largest until a couple of years ago.

Jep, I only say "020" or "neuzenstad" (don't take that last one too literally, it's just football related).

Anyways, Rotterdam is the 2nd biggest city in the Netherlands. Though there is not anything 'special' to do on a normal Sunday or Monday, you should just think of something you like and ask someone/Google where to go.

It's the closest big city from where I live, but I always thought it was kinda boring tbh. Still there are plenty of things to do there I guess when you are merely visiting. It has everything city should have I guess.
