I haven't seen a thread about triphop music (my favourite genre) here, so I thought I'd start one up:D

No DJ Shadow? Also, did you listen to the record that Submotion Orchestra dropped this year? I love it. It's like trip hop with a club leaning.

I listen to a bit of DJ Shadow from time to time, he's got some really good stuff but a lot of it doesn't click with me that much.
Thanks for the Submotion suggestion, I never heard of them before but I just listened to that album and it's pretty tight, I think I'll get it.

I love Portishead, Dummy would definitely be near the top of my favourite albums lists. I heard Geoff is starting to work on new material now, I can't wait for a new Portishead album, no matter how long that takes.

Not triphop proper, but a massively blunted beat

Edited to add:

Took me a long time to get into 3 -- fucking crazy good & harsh difficult. I was into them from the beginning, but I am nearly elderly.

Worth getting the 'Music has the Right to Children' LP, had a very nice 12" re-release a few years ago.
