They also gang-rape their females to reproduce, so I'd rather not be associated with them to be honest.

It's saying they flex vocal chords, rather than whistling as was expected. It is not saying they have complex grammar and syntax.

Characterizing non-human activity as "rape" is problematic, don't you think? "Rape" presupposes "will" and "an ability to give consent", at least according to uniquely human standards. I don't think either are remotely plausible for other animals.
Does a dog that responds to a bell announcing dinner "consent" to be fed? Or even "will" to be fed? Does a male penguin "consent" to incubate the egg? Such imputations have long ago left the scientific literature. All that we can say is that if these dolphins were human, then the females will appear unwilling. But to characterize a female dolphin as a "sex slave" akin to a woman whose papers were stolen and trafficked into prostitution is really rather absurd.

dolphins are pretty smart and can consent to sex. but if you like, dolphins also kidnap and rape humans

actually scientists observed that dolphins come up with names for each other and use dolphins names sometimes when they are not around.
that is to say
dolphins talk behind each other's backs.

They're too smart...we had better wipe them all out before they do the same to us! Stop the dolphin menace!

I don't know your friend, and I see no reason why I should touch him or her. What kind of creep do you take me for?
