What do you think about Immortal Technique? He is a socialist rapper from Peru now living in New York. Unlike the usual raps which usually talk about capping pimps and driving a $100,000 Cadillac, Immortal Technique's raps are very deep and very clever. He focuses on many issues such as war, corruption, greed, and capitalism.
He is my favorite rapper, my favorite song of his is "Dance with the Devil". That is a very shocking song, first time I heard it all the way through I sat with my jaw open for 10 minutes

I don't like him. I don't appreciate the homophobic and sexist lyrics and I think his views are borderline Maoism Third Worldism. I don't take any of that conspiracy theory crap seriously either, whats up with all these rappers going on about the Illuminati?

I used to not like him (for reasons that AM stated), but he seems to have dropped his sexism and homophobia. I think he's more of a social democrat.
Oh and he's an ok mc, above average. Dance With the Devil is dumb.

Yeah, no insult to Immortal, he's got some nice chops. I mostly just think that Illuminati type stuff is silly. His political views are pretty open for interpretation but he sprouts some pretty third worldist stuff sometimes.

But I've seen interviews of him renouncing all his conspiracy theorism around the same time when he renounced his bigotries. Guess he just got educated.

Really? Huh, I might have to give his newer stuff a listen.

Now it's painful to listen to him. His flow is that bad. His run-on lyrics are just terrible.
I like the idea of a revolutionary socialist hip-hop artist, but his presentation is bad. His early lyrics were pretty sexist and homophobic too.
Plus, his beat/loop repeats every 4 seconds.... make it last a little longer, please?
