What else can you expect from the pigs. Their purpose is to protect the bourgeoisie, they aren't there to protect ordinary people, they are trained to treat the working classes as targets not people to be protected.

I feel so hopeless and powerless reading these stories almost every single day, ffs.

This is almost as bad as the cop who killed someone because he said he was bad at darts...

While I obviously agree that the police protect the bourgeois system I don't see how this is an example of that whatsoever.

It seems more to be an example of brutality and abuse than the protection of private property. I'm just curious as to how this absurd case is an example of the police acting as agents of the bourgeois system. How was the bourgeois system protected in this case? Was this man mistakenly seeing the officer as a friend a threat to private property?

If we're going to say "see this is an example of how the cops are protectors of the rich!" we have to mean it, and while I think this case is deplorable, I also don't see it as a good example of how police play the role of protectors of private property.

Obviously Leftists should rally against this horrible case of brutality, but let's not lose credibility here.

I get where you're coming from. Basically what I was trying to say was that the people who say the police are here to help us haven't got a clue. The police aren't here to protect ordinary people and often they will beat up ordinary people for the power trip in the secure knowledge that they won't face any serious punishment for it owing to their role as protectors of the bourgeoisie.

A notice to all workers. Before approaching pigs, in any country, make sure to be carrying tear gas, a billy club, and a riot shield. Maybe then they'll think twice about doing this shit to us.

If the guy was wearing any uniform designating him as being their superior it would have played out differently. The cops attacked the man because they identified the man as being of a lower class to them thus fair game.
