I just checked the avarage yearly inflation rates. The 6% increase over a four year period would not cover the accumulated inflation rating. It could be compensated with the one time $1100 cash bonus though...but that depends on their avarage wage.

All in all the workers managed to keep what they have and that is a good deal considering the alternative. And it is a good example that organisation can get you something you want.
