Wow... did not know this but am not shocked that corporations are being shitty again (as if they ever stopped).

You know what fucking pisses me off. When you tell capitalists that we are surrounded by a shit world, and they say something stupid like the world is ruled by tin-pot dictators. And then I try explaining that capitalism is an international system by which the ruling classes of the imperialist nations subjugate the rest of the world often using dictators to do their dirty work.

This is the same company that has been linked with the poisoning of public water supplies and the murders of union leaders and their families.

Am I the only one who had a Pavlovian feeling of thirst for sugary caramel-flavored beverages after reading this thread title?

Wasn't Coca the one lobbying to eliminate public water regulations in the first place?

Who can drink that chemical-brew in a can anymore? I've given up soda 3 years ago and have lost a lot of weight thanks to that decision.

I have never in my life drunk coca-cola. I would like to say its because I had an innate revulsion for the evil company that produces it from birth, but the truth is I just don't like fizzy drinks. Water is the best drink. (excluding alcohol) I always get a kick out of sitting in a restraunt or cafe and ordering a continous stream of tap water. The law says they have to give it to me for free:D

As if hiring right-wing paramilitaries to murder trade unionists in Colombia wasn't enough.

HAHA! Love to see capitalists swearing at dispensing free drinks ... Next time you order some tap water, say it like this: "Fill it up, good man / woman!"

Lol, I just read another news story in which Mountain Dew was sued by a guy who claimed to have gotten a can of Mountain Dew with a mouse in it. Their response? That if a mouse was actually bottled in the can, it would've dissolved by the time the guy got it.

Those activists are so naive if they think they can get Coca-Cola to start "directing the profits to the people of Swaziland" and "supporting the pro-democracy movement".

Can anyone show us a multinational corporation that doesn't have some sort of human rights abuse/environmental destruction in its history?

I used to drink Diet Coke myself. I don't think I even liked the taste. Thankfully I haven't drunk that artificially sweetened piss for a long time. I still do drink Coke on occasion, but I'm aiming to stop drinking that as well.
The sweeteners in Diet Coke trick your brain into thinking that the body is getting sugar, but when it finds out that no sugar has entered the system, you start to crave food, especially foods high in carbohydrates (so, in reality, people who buy loads of food at fast food places and a Diet Coke are probably being quite logical).
