Does anyone have statistics on this. Starvation rates, the worst famines, and so on. Also if someone has statistics on other famines we could possibly combine this into crimes against capitalism.

In fact,i have been reading about the famines in Russia pre revolution, because people generally believe famines happened only in Russia after the Bolsheviks got power, which is completely untrue.
The famine of 1891
The Imperial Russian famine of 1891 ravaged about 900,000 square miles in the Volga and central agricultural areas. This area consisted of the provinces of:
Nizhni-Novgorod
Riazan
Tula
Kazan
Simbirsk
Saratov
Penza
Samara
and Tambov.
About fourteen to twenty million people suffered because of the famine, of which 375,000 to 400,000 died.
Other years in which the famines had a devastating effect.
1901, 1906
1911
Famines were no strange thing in the Russian Empire,as the huge backward land had problems with supply and food stocks. The bigger famines had a horrible effect on the population and the life in Russia.Although, hunger was almost always present in Imperial Russia,so you could say that the famines in Russia were periods when the hunger became uncontrolable.
on other famines
Well, the Indian famines that happened while India was under British rule were especially horrible, some 40 famines happened, with over 50 million deaths.
Than there was the Great Irish famine with 1.000.000 people dead. The Finnish famine 1866–1868 where 15% of the population died. The four famines of China, according do some sources,45 million people died.1601–1603 famine in Russia,2 million people died.
The Nazis also caused a lot of major famines, especially in the USSR.
I will write a longer reply with more crucial information as soon as i get the chance to take a look at some of the statistics and literature about the famines that happened.
