1. Science is not, can not, will never be merely an intellectual endeavor. It is based on solid truths that defy repudiation. You can argue all you want about it but it was hard science that took man from the observations of sir isaac newton to the reality of space travel.

3.History bereft of a scientific outlook all to often is at the mercy of the erratic conditions in which it occurred, was composed and later analyzed and retold. The term "history is always written by the victors" carries some truth when not analyzed on a scientific basis.
Science is absolute because it comes before the interpretations of man and will be here long after.
Anyone who thinks that the bible is the greatest historical document should first read a little about the council of nicea and the butchering of "the greatest historical document".
