Lori Berenson

I was just thinking of her and the hell that she had to go through these last years. As some may or may not know Lori was arrested in Peru for allegedly helping and housing members of the banned MRTA. Her background has been that of secretary to the leader of the MRTA and later as a journalist in Peru. After serving over ten plus years in a peruvian jail under evidence that many international observers called "made up", and seperated from her child she is finally free. Any thoughts?

My first thought is that a one liner is very flimsy for an opening post.
I am not entirely opposed to oneliners when they serve a purpose. But for an OP that simply won't do.

Now I am aware who Lori Berenson is. But many posters may not be. So elaborate with some background and why you think she went through a hell.
