If they're giving cancer to revolutionaries, then how did Chavez get it?

Maybe we could wait for something more concrete than coincidence before taking this as gospel? After all the only reason the daily mail will have published this is that they know it makes Chavez look paranoid/delusional.

He was just jealous on his holocaust denying pall ahmidinijahd and wanted a conspiracy theory of his own.
One only must have a look at recent assassination attempts with cancer inducing substances (the kgb guy with polononium and the eastern European president with dioxine) to see how crude they are to know that also the US probably couldn't pull this of yet.
What did they do, inject a virus? Poisoned their food? Radiated them? All would trigger massive acute very atypical sickness that would stand out like a clown in a board meeting.

It is strange that a lot of leaders are getting cancer... now Chavez may not last another two years.
On the other hand, if he does live that probably demonstrates that no foul play was involved, because I don't see the U.S doing a shoddy job.

Its not strange, an increasing number of normal people get cancer too. in my inner i know at least 4 people who are dealing with one of their family member having cancer or the death of somebody having it.
Thanks to increasing pollution and the use of unsafe material in everyday item, even the politician are getting it these day.
Its somehow comforting that those bastards (the politicians, not specifically the left wing ones) are not immune to everything.
Cancer is an Equal opportunity killer, it dosnt matter if you get the threatement or not if you got it once one day or another, its gonna comeback and kill you.

All of the leaders in South America who have cancer are middle-aged and probably have lifestyle choices and genetic risks that all build up to their getting cancer. It's not a conspiracy, it's a small group of leaders who have cancer.

OMG, the US has technology to give Chavez paranoid delusions!
Invented technology to create cancer... cigarettes? DDT?
This is bullshit conspiracy stuff. The only information I found shocking is the that Chavez and Kirchner are revolutionaries! Kudos for Chavez for standing up to US imperialism in that region, and I can both see a legitimate reason why Venezuela's leader would be on watch for US dirty tricks (they have and will continue to try and keep the region their loyal and obedient backyard through any means necessary) as well as a cynical self-serving reason why Chavez would spread some of the more outlandish plot-claims.
But these sorts of charges hurt us in my opinion. There are definite and verified things the US has done and is doing that when you bring it up, no one believes you and they say it's a conspiracy theory. Toss these kinds of unverified/unverifiable conspiracies in with the actual coup attempts and CIA operations and it creates a watery gumbo of politics that does a disservice to trying to stop US imperialism.

Some people have gotten their cancer into remission and didn't ultimately die from it.

Chavez really needs to stop with these claims unless he has real evidence because this way he just seems delusional. (and he probably is)
The last thing he needs is to provide the USA with munition to make him seem like yet another nutjob dictator.
I am not a fan of Chavez but he does seem to genuinely want to give the Venezuelan people a better life through reformism.

Even if it goes into remission there is always a risk that it could come back to finish you off, that why most cancer survivors have to pass regular checkup, beccause it can comeback, it usually does.

Is there another source for this? The dailymail article only cites some video from some random guy 'translating' Chavez, though I don't hear the actual Chavez rant in question (the guy talking over it blocked out the speech). I'm not saying Chavez absolutely didn't say this (I wouldn't put it beyond him), but it reminds me of that time the media ran away with Chavez's accusation that the Haiti earthquake was caused by some US secret weapon (HAARP) even though he never said anything of the sort.

OK, but your post kind of made it sound like cancer was going to kill your ass, regardless. Hell my grandfather had cancer that was successfully beaten back with chemo/radiation (he ultimately died of a heart attack)

Most of the time it does, some people are lucky enough to keep him at bay but ultimately once you got it, the risk of a comeback is verry real, its a nasty disease that killed my mother, a co-worker the mother of a co-worker of mine and its cirrently killing the father and mother of 2 of my co-worker has well.

I think the implication was that Chavez was half-joking when he said this. What I read of the quotes included him saying (if I can paraphrase) this might be the case, he has no evidence, it probably isn't true but Chavez likes to think out loud. I think a lot of his charisma comes from the fact that he likes to ramble on and think out loud, for whatever reason it gives him an earnestness which connects him to the poor masses of Venezuela. But it means sometimes he just says things that can't be taken seriously at all.
I wouldn't put it past the US to poison foreign heads of state but it seems unlikely that it was done right now under the current circumstances. Also why poison the presidents of Brazil and Argentina? The joke that Tim Finnegan made about Hugo is doubly the case for Kirchner, Rousseff and Lula.

politician should either joke or be dead serious about what they are saying, they hold the lives of millions of people in their freaking hands for christ sake, least they can do is being clear.

Where was Chavez unclear? All I heard was a translation, which clearly stated that he didn't intend to make any serious accusations. Turning this into the basis of a slander is just the sort of backhanded behavior I have come to expect of the Western media.

I'm actually relatively positive about Chávez, but sometimes he just says some shit that makes me want to punch him in the face over and over again until he understands how wrong and stupid it is.

A lot of the whackier things he says are usually misatrributed or jokes. Like when they claimed that he said the U.S. caused the earthquake in Haiti. Turns out he never said it.

LEADERS STRUCK DOWN
Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez received treatment in Cuba earlier this year for an unknown cancer. He had his fourth and final bout of chemotherapy in Cuba last month. He had surgery to remove a tumour from his pelvic region in June and is now being evaluated by doctors, who hope he may fully recover.
Argentinian leader Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner said on Dec 22 that she has thyroid cancer. The disease was discovered during routine medical tests, but it is thought she has a good chance of survival. The thyroid gland cancer has not spread to other parts of her body. She will have an operation on January 4.
The health of Dilma Rousseff, the president of Brazil, made the news in 2009 when she was diagnosed with cancer of the lymph system. Brazil's first female president has cancer check-ups every six months but said the cancer is 'resolved' and she is in 'good health'.
Ex-Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva was diagnosed with throat cancer in October this year. The popular former leader, 66, began chemotherapy to treat a tumour in his larynx, with medics describing him as 'well'.
Paraguayan President Fernando Lugo, 60, was diagnosed with lymphoma in August 2010 but is now in remission after undergoing chemotherapy. Doctors discovered the lymphoma following a biopsy on a gland they had removed from his groin during minor surgery in August 2010. The malignant tumour is treatable with chemo.

I always enjoy when the Western Media takes a joke and turns it into a serious accusation. It must be fun working as a Western Guttersnipe.

Okay first of all you gotta stop making your writing bigger. It makes you look like a jackass. We can all read what you're posting even if you do it normally.
Second, you should perhaps read some of the responses to this thread and the 'claim' instead of repeating yourself.

Because the secret cancer technology the USA uses in these situations only works on humans. The US govt has already established that Castro is an alien and therefore immune.
