Not suprising, but maybe good for a laugh.

Michele Bachmann is the only canidate who will dismantle Obama's system of socialism.

GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann promoted herself on Tuesday as the contender best suited to lead a crusade against President Barack Obama's so-called "socialism."

"Of all of the candidates that are running in this race, I am the one that's going to go in and dismantle the system of socialism," Bachmann told supporters at an Iowa cafe, according to the Des Moines Register. "That's what we've got to have."

Bachmann frequently rails against the issue of socialism, which she commonly invokes as a system she believes Obama espouses through his support for the health care reform law, entitlement programs and legislation to bolster financial regulations.

"We are at a time in our country when we are full-on embracing socialism," the Minnesota congresswoman continued. "Now I know it's hard to imagine, but there are even Republicans that want to be socialists in Washington D.C."

Bachmann said she'd continue her fight against their ideology as well.
She launched a similar attack on her fellow Republicans last month, blasting what she called "frugal socialists" in the GOP.

"The reason President Obama and some Republicans can get behind socialized medicine is because they share the same core political philosophy about the purpose of government," she said, before appearing to suggest that her primary opponents were among the ranks of socialists. "We cannot preserve liberty if the choice is between a frugal socialist and an out-of-control socialist."

Another alleged socialist subscriber on Bachmann's list is former President George W. Bush, who she accused of embracing "bailout socialism" in her latest memoir.

Her campaign, not unlike the whole american election process itself, is a joke.

Modern conservative ideology is pretty interesting, observing how so many could live in an entirely differently reality. It shows what happens when people live in an opaque dome of propaganda.

I dont even think most people or politicians can define socialism. I think even many people in the socialist party in my country would have trouble defining socialism.

That means something is seriously fucked up. The term "socialist" have more become someone who are for higher taxes for the rich and fight for environment, gays and other liberal stuff...

Now, this is worth of being highlighted:

Another alleged socialist subscriber on Bachmann's list is former President George W. Bush, who she accused of embracing "bailout socialism" in her latest memoir.

So, She is against any kind of socialism, even financial bourgeois socialism: "socializing debts, privatizing profits"

In all probability, she's not. It would be best if people could differentiate populist propaganda from political positions (best seen in office).
Or does the Republican Party now accept fools totally oblivious to the workings of the economy as viable candidates?

I like to ask to define socialism sometimes. It is funny and sad all rolled into one. One guy defined it as "not capitalism". He used this definition to prove that the bailouts were socialist because they were "not capitalist". When I asked another guy to define what communism is he just said "Stalin". People were amazed how his knowledge (because he was an American and we all know that they are all idiots </sarcasm>). It gets depressing after a while.

Now you're getting the idea. All the candidate they've forewarded are nutters. I can only conclude that they are trying to throw the election so that the democrats get the blame for the cuts the ruling classes are planning to make, whoever happens to be in power.
Although that doesn't necessarily mean they won't win. I mean some people will vote for ANYTHING.

Or maybe they realize incumbents nearly always win their reelections, so they just wont bother fielding serious candidates until 2016. Not quite as dramatic, I know.
