It doesn't really suprise me...some people who are involved with financial services have come to realize that the current situation is untenable. Then there are the ones (probably the majority) who seem to combine the worst elements of drug addiction and sociopathic behavior.
I think that other people in power are going to start turning against the financial industry, honestly. Nassim Taleb said in a recent interview that the power of the financial services industry has just become too obscene and disproportionate, and someone is going to have to break it eventually. 2011 marked the year that public ire really turned against the banking industry in a big way, and I think that sentiment will deepen as time goes on, not lessen.
