I can't really put it any other way. Let me give you an example...
Recently I have met and spend time chatting with some people who are really into government conspiracy theories. 5 and a half years ago, BEFORE I ever learned anything about the revolutionary left I would listen to this stuff and either get sucked into it and believe claims made by people without really caring to do some "fact checking" I know this is supposed to be common sense for most people and I'm not trying to imply that ONLY having Marxist perspective can make you a skeptic or think logically but for me it has helped me a lot.
I met this girl last month who I found I had a lot of things in common with. UNTIL she started to talk about aliens, reptilians and "arturians" (or something like this.) What really stunned me was that she claimed to have seen them and spoke to them. She tied this experience with these alien beings into politics and morality. Basically having these "arturians" come to her and tell her she was to fight for good and not allow her friends and loved ones to fall into the bad spirit or into the reptilians.. was a sign that she's supposed to do something greater for humanity and help the cause of human good.. OK.
I told her.. "look, I mean no disrespect.. you sound very passionate about this stuff but I don't believe in anything like that.. At the end I feel we all are fighting an evil... You call it Reptilians and the Illuminati.. I call it Capitalism and the ruling class..."
Marxism has successfully explained to me something I never really understood, nor cared much about, because it was so vast and in place decades before I was born. I feel as it's the best way to look at history and our grasp our condition. It really does say too you.. "take a look at your life, the past, present and future.. there's a perfect explanation as to why you live the way you do and how you can change it."
Unlike the Illuminati, free masons and the new world order all seem like an "invisible enemy" and it really doesn't offer answers, solutions nor does it explain anything really.
I actually find my self applying this to every aspect in my life... I'm always shocked when I hear politicians, news reporters and other people in general just "grab" little things here and there and try to fabricate a truth based out of passionate opinions and incomplete information.
