I was taking a walk today, when not even at the end of the block I live on, I found a black-and-white version of the following pamphlet/whatever on the ground:

http://cdn.abclocal.go.com/images/kabc/cms_exf_2007/_video_wn_images/7958770_600x338.jpg

For reference, I live in a mostly-white suburb of a suburb of Los Angeles.

What should I do? Should I write a letter to the editor or whatever to my local paper? Hang up fliers that say "Nazis are not welcome in [my neighborhood]"? Call their "hotline" and immediately hold the phone up to my computer's speakers while playing the Hymn of the Soviet Union at full blast?

Infiltrate their organization, rise through their ranks, and dissolve it by turning it into a bureaucratic hierarchical mess where nothing can get done. Duh.

No but in all seriousness it just depends on the individual details. If this organization is involved in local politics, consider getting involved in local politics to combat them. They won't take a phone call or two very seriously. Fliers attacking their organization sounds good, I would avoid associating with the Red though.

The local news tends to hype up small instances of town/neighborhood mayhem. It all depends on how serious it is.

Meh, it happens. In my place of birth the KKK marches down the street in front of my (former) house. And I'm not so old- that's the 1990s we're talking about.

It's apparently already made the news, so unless you've a group of people you can gather, not much to do yourself. Talk to the Homeowners Association in your neighborhood if you think that could help. If you hang fliers about it, the shitstorm could turn around on you in accusation that they've every right to free speech or whatever.

Call their "hotline" and immediately hold the phone up to my computer's speakers while playing the Hymn of the Soviet Union at full blast?

Do that anyway, often, for shits and giggles.

Yes, make their ears bleed with the glory of the union!

Honestly I wouldent get too concerned, I'm all for people putting fascists in their place but until they commit a violent act or really begin spreading their hateful messages just leave them be. If they continue tell the other residents of your neighborhood I'm certan if they are a reasonable bunch of people, leftist or not they will have an objection to a Nazi being among them

Edit: oh and I forgot to mention, it only appears to be people against affirmative action just judgeing from the picture I dont see anything confirming that they are really "Nazis" No need to get all extream over people protesting something that actualy deserves to be. Maybe the "white people need jobs too" is a little provocative but are they really as bad as you make them out to be?

I just drew a little flier that says...

"NAZIS NOT WELCOME HERE"
"Fuck the National Alliance"

Complete with a little anarchist circle-a. I'm going to tape it to the telephone pole or something at the end of the block, near where I found it.

It's a quiet neighborhood, with nobody around usually. But would it still be a good idea to do it during the daytime? It's the only time my parents let me out.

scan the poster, get friends and parody it using photoshop so it looks similar but carries the opposite meaning. print out some and put them up. that's what I'd want to do anyway.

and yes, playing some antifascist music to their hotline is certainly called for.

I will once I get sufficient editing skills.

The one I have, though, has a gash from when I folded it. I suppose the Nazi punks might have a PDF on their site that I can use.

Also, I'd call their hotline, but I'm afraid of them tracing the number and beating me up.

I always think it's a bad idea to put any fascist organization's name on your flyers and posters. Because that way, you're making their name more well-known.

...Sound like anyone we know?

LOL I'd totally do it.

Start working with the minority groups in your neighborhood. Do not do anythibg radical if nazis' only activity is stickers. But try to organize a group and plan your actions.

If you really live in suburbia good chances are that its just another kid who printed out the flyer from the net.
I would just keep an eye out for more propaganda (and remove it upon discovery) and have a chat with the rest of the local teens, if there is a organised nazi presence having a reqruitement drive local teens are often the first to know so you are best poised to find out. Better than most minority advocacy groups.

Mostly likely profile for the fascist responsible is a 30-45 year old "white" male self identified as middle class, and this fascist likely does not live in the immediate neighborhood.
NA was a large organization back in the 90s, quite influential among racist youth (anybody remember Resistance Records?) but went into demise with the death of its founder and nasty power struggles and splits followed. The current leader is nearly bankrupt and hated in many fascist circles.
However, the original founder of NA is still revered like a prophet.
I'd guess this NA material is also from the 90s.

Reason I wouldn't suspect a teen in your neighborhood immediately is because most racist teens flirting with fascism are as serious as lifestylist anarchists. If you had graphitti with swastikas or other made for TV shock imagery, I'd guess this was the work of teens. Instead, you have a flier, in California, talking about "stop affirmative action", which was a right wing cause celebre during the 90s. Iwas under the impression that affirmative action was essentially abolished in California. Teens today wouldn't have experience of it if that's true, and it wouldn't motivate them enough to post or drop this kind of material.

If any teens in your area know about that flier and who put it out, they will have been approached by an adult. Adult racists from the middle class these days tend to be chickenshit cowards, inactive except within more "mainstream" venues like the Tea party, Republican party camp, and the religious Right. That's also where most Scumfront and old NA types are these days, if they are active offline. Meaning that this flier comes most likely from a "lone wolf" alienated even from most other fascists (who see more opportunities in mainstream Right politics today and are too afraid and disorganized to di anything else).
If this alienated fascist posting fliers was also handing them out in person, I'd think he (active fascists are men 9 times out of 10) lived nearby. Instead, this looks like an anonymous action, with the intention to get media coverage, scare certain residents, and through that appeal to other alienated racists...but not too close to his own home where he'd be paranoid about being suspected.
This is not unlike the sort of anonymous passive racist harassment incidents that happen in workplaces and at schools, except the fascist perp here was too cowardly for anything that close to his own area. His neighbors likely think he is some wacky Republican Tea Party supporter. If he is trying to recruit, it would be in Tea party circles, and perhaps also on the anti-Semetic "Ron Paul" fringes of middle class Occupy supporters (the ones that aren't against capitalism, just against corruption by certain bankers and supposedly leftwing 'globalist' politicians, if you know what that means, wink wink).
NA types tend to be small business owners, professionals, managers, and cops or armed security guards. They are sneaky in politics, because in their eyes they have "something to lose". Middle class elitism and belief in Jewish conspiracy unfairly holding them down fits perfectly with their racist elitism and their extrasensitive hostility to increased competition from middle class minorities. NA types have regularly come from former liberal backgrounds (pay attention to those not-against-all-capitalism middle class people worming their way in Occupy or the most formidable fascist cadres of tomorrow will emerge from there).

Yah i have met some of these anti-fed alex-jones types at OSF. One told me that "the militia movement" is the reason why there is free speech in this country.

If this organization is involved in local politics, consider getting involved in local politics to combat them.

Except that will do nothing.

If all they're doing is putting up fliers, rip em down when you see them and take one of their fliers and alter it so as to subvert the original message. Make sure you do not include their name though like An archist said.

These clowns used to be all the rage a few years ago until in-fighting destroyed them. They were the best funded and organised "white nationalist" group in America.

They offer these A4 pdf leaflets on their website for anyone to print and download. Most likely it's one or two idiots who downloaded them and distributed them, I doubt it's any seriously organised neo-nazi presence.

This is there website: http://www.natall.com/

National Alliance are White Nationalists typically of the Neo-Nazi variety so yes they are fascist and no I would not wait for them to do something violent before raising a cry against them. Scum should be combated wherever and whenever.

I didn't think that the National Alliance was around anymore. I thought that organization split after William Pierce died.
I thought the same as well didn't they split into two groups one remained National Alliance and the other became National Vanguard or some shit? I thought they had split even further after one of the leaders was busted for Child Porn and the mother of the neo-nazi Prussian Blue lead a schism due to the "creepiness of the men int he movement towards young girls." I had honestly thought NA was out of business and maybe they are and some kid just found an old flyer and printed them out or they are still active which I didn't know.

Just ask yourself what they would do if they knew you, a communist, (I'm assuming) were living in their neighborhood. ...Actually...never mind, you don't want to do that...
