Comrades in Milwaukee

I'm planning on moving to Milwaukee sometime in mid-2012 to attend grad school. But first I would need to find employment as I am moving with my wife and a child on the way. I'm thinking that I would move there first, find a job and then have my wife join me after I find a place to live. How are the job prospects in Milwaukee? I've worked at as a customer service agent for almost 4 years in a call center and recently work as an ESL Teacher Aide. I would prefer to work in the education field if possible. But I can take anything that will help me get an apartment. Any advice?

a lot of people in milwaukee do this, i guess you get some downtime so its nice for school work or whatever
