actually, the process of proletariasation for european serfs and peasants (especially women) was a pretty brutal one, which robbed them of the relatively high wages and better living conditions they were getting after the demographic catastrophe of the black plague and their immense pressure on landowners, terrified of unified worker and peasant revolts

Many things that Capitalism "brought" were already widely practiced. Capitalism was unfortunately a big upgrade over Feudalism, which is even more unequal
