This is really heart warming, the weakest of the working class, the peasents in China, fought and fought and fought and WON, this is amazing, they beat the state.

When you got nothing to loose all you can do is win.
the chinese state and the chinese corporations have stepped on those poor folks for far too long, nobody is that patient, you cant just take everything away without giving back to a group of people and expect them to always be affraid and submissive.

Everyone has something to loose, the chinese peasants still have their lives to loose, which is a very real possibility.

But living is meaningless if its the only thing you have to loose.

Proof again that the biggest enemy of dictatorship is corruption, most of humanity will be quite happy to live without democracy but step on their sense of fairness often enough and they will rise.
Reminds me of this chip research I just read about, give a chimp the choice between a unfair reward or no reward at all and over time he will choose no reward.
Yes even chimps know how to go on strike.

The exact study isn't referenced but its mentioned in chapter 1 of "the age of empathy" by renowed primatologist frans de waal, if you just ignore his naive praise for Obama a very worthwhile book.

go tell that to many western farmers who are benefiting from subsidies for their crops and equipements.
I am not saying that western farmers will never rise up, but those safety nets give to the state some sort of leverage they can use against the farmer to control them, a lot of chinese farmer have basically nothing at all.
