My e-mail sent to them.
Tengo una pregunta para usted -por favor!
Members of the PIP (whoever can respond),
My name is Francisco L. Acevedo and I am a 15 years old socialist with much love and pride to being a Puerto Rican. I was born in Puerto Rico but am currently living in Connecticut, USA. I am a supporter of any movement that supports a Puerto Rico free from imperialist power. Therefore I support the PIP.
I was on your web site and I came across a link that said that the PIP is members of the Socialist International. I clicked on it and found your party still active in this international organization but looking at the PIP I have found a lack of socialism. Meaning your party doesnt portray themselves as socialist or that they are pushing for any socialist movement within Puerto Rico. Ive been told that you used to be socialist but no longer continue to be socialist. It appears to me that the PIP is almost a non-socialist party. My questions for you (members of the PIP) are
-Why have you discontinued pursuing a more left approach towards Puerto Rican independence?
-Is the PIP socialist dead?
-Will you demonstrate that you are socialist or lean toward socialism to the people of Puerto Rico or will you continue to hide it?
Please e-mail me back with the answers to these questions. I wish you luck in the 2004 elections and hope to see socialism back in Puerto Rico.
!Hasta la Victoria Siempre!
