I've decided to make a blog about my political views.

Check it up here. http://liberalsocialist.blogspot.com/ (http://http//liberalsocialist.blogspot.com/)

What do you think?

When I clicked on the link it didn't bring me to a blog but rather a blank page.

I've been toying with the idea of making a political-economy/social philosophical blog for a while, but I'm not an economist ... So I don't know how relevant what I gotta say would be, or how many people would give a rats ass, I doubt it would be many.

The problem with Mutualism is the fact that it not only will not gather much public support[1], but Proudhon's theories aren't really complete or coherent[2].

[1] I don't think so. I think it's more likely for anarchists to attract others to mutualism first. Mutualism could work as a system but it has issues that would need to be addressed.

[2]Carson is a neo-mutualist so to speak and I think Carson writes some good stuff. I wouldn't stick with Proudhon to learn about mutualism. I'd look at Carson's writings. Carson writes some really good stuff.

[1] I think mutualism (in some form), HAS gathered some public support, not under that name though, but there are tons of people talking about workers ownership, cooperatives, mutual aid and so on.

I don't mean economic mutualism.

I meant that anarchist mutualism is not going to get popular support. The economics of mutualism, however, is becoming popular.

So, I was criticizing anarchist mutualism since I don't really think the world is ready for anarchism yet. Instead, I proposed a minarchist mutualism.

I don't think thats the case, but it depends on your concept of anarchism.

If you think of Anarchism as a goal, i.e. a system that we should fight for, then yeah, thats way far off.

But as a principle, i.e. that no power that exists should exist without rigourus justification, then I'd say Anarchism as a principle (although not called such) is an integral part of the Occupy movement.

Sorry for necroing. (The thread is not even a month old though...)

I do support Anarchism as a principle, that no power should exist without rigorous judgement. But, that is not the common usage of the word Anarchism, even intellectual usage.

Anyways, here is another post http://www.liberalsocialist.blogspot.com/2012/01/economic-constitutionalism.html

It is on something that I would like to call 'Economic Constitutionalism'.
