Need some opinions

Hey all.

I would really appreaciate some opinions about this poster. There is some concern about how people would interpret it, so before we actually use it (we have another so we may not use it at all) I could use some help.

Here it is:

I think it would draw some people who are interested in "crushing the bling bling" but it might turn away some people who are fans of the bling bling-type rappers. Other than that, I see nothing wrong with it.

The concern was over the part of the poster with Christina A.

Any thoughts?

What is the relevance of Christina A. on this poster? (other than the obvious eye catching piece of booty she is ;) )

I like the catchy headline, is there really a rapper called Ho Chi Minh? how sik is that!!!!

Well, I didn't make the poster, but that image (with Christina A.) is from adbusters.org

My impression is that it is supposed to be ridculing her, and as she is an icon of pop-culture it is therfore ridiculing the pop culture.

However, she is showing a lot of skin, which may be offensive, and the use of a celeberity has been put in to question.

I am sort of neutral on this, and that's why I am asking for opinions. :)

well, i really don't know too much about the ethical side of using Christina A. wearing nothing but panties on a poster, but aside from that, if a was walking past i would stop for a second glance, but what liberAL says is right, needs some colour.... (unless you are going for the Black and White effect)

To answer the first question, yes there is a rapper called Ho Chi Minh.

About the Black & White: We can only afford photocopies therefor there is no point in incorporating colour in the orginal designs.

I think the first one was better. I can't really see anyone who would be going to that being offended by sexuality, so go for it.

The Che pic with headphones on is great, but the first poster is more eye catching

the effects are pretty cool, however what about the Cafe Che font? its a bit gothic it seems to me, in my opinion maybe something more open?

and a bit of red wouldnt go amiss, other than that, looks good.

Can we have a report of what happens?
