Comedy Central's The Daily Show made a commentary on the recent Bloomberg report which revealed that the U.S. government loaned banks $7.7 trillion in secret bailout funds at no interest and then borrowed the money back at interest.

Thought I would share, it's pretty funny but also WTF.

That they borrowed the money back at interest is the shocker. However, this is not too dissimilar to what the Japanese central bank has for years done more overtly to the Japanese financial sector (to encourage inter-bank lending).

If anything, it shows how bankrupt the myth of the "free market" really is. It is the state and, in the end, the taxpayer that has to subsidise the system in order to keep it going. Statification is the norm. This is the point the left can hammer on: Capitalism doesn't work anymore, it is in decline, it needs to be replaced. Inaction means barbarism in the form of savage attacks on the working class, fascism and war.
