I got a 4S a few weeks ago, had it replaced for another 4S already. First ever smartphone as well, still waiting on a jailbreak lol. How you like the phone?

Seems cool, I got an HTC Rezound (it was free for my upgrade), I've been playing around with it throughout the day, kind of seems unnecessary because I already had an iTouch, but it will be cool to have access to GPS and shit I suppose.

I've had a Droid 1 since it came out two years ago. I'll be trading up for a new smartphone in January, when I renew my contract.

It has a faulty screen where the top was duller and dimmer than the bottom.

You sure you have to wait till january? I know companies offer a 1 line upgrade each year, and you can usually renew your contract 3 months before it actually runs out.

It's partially my choice. Since I'm on a fixed income, I have to plan these things out.

Yeah I tend to be gentle too, but the problem is for some reason they all tend to crap the fuck out once your free warranty expires. What kind of case do you want? Hard cover or silicon?

And definitely get a screen protector, zagg is expensive but I've had good results from it - you'll just have to get used to it's texture. Since I got the 4S I had the zagg on my first one, but got a refund after the trade in so I just bought them from the company apple owns ( IIRC. )

If you damage your screen, replacing the touch sensor should be cheap ( replaced and LG Touch one for about 10$ ) But if the actuall LCD on your phone get's damaged, you'll be shelling out over $100 for the replacement part.

Also, what exactly is the built in beats? An amplifier? How do you like that?

Yeah, I got a zagg already. I'm not sure what is up with the beats, I haven't listened to music on it yet. I wasn't expecting to get this phone, for some reason my parents wanted to get my new phone, I was expecting a droid 2, and thats what I asked them to get, but then they called and went back and forth about a bunch of different phones and I got tired of it (plus I was at work) and just told them "whatever, get me something cool with an 8mp camera", and this is what they sent me.

Fucking lucky with the Rezound. I wish I didn't have to go through a credit check as I would love to be back on Verizon. Best phones and service without a doubt. I really want to get the Galaxy Nexus.

I've got connections with guys who work for sprint, so when my contract was over I got the Galaxy s2 for like 50 bucks.

Barring any new phones coming out in January, I'm looking at either the Droid Bionic or the Droid 3.

I spend far too much time on the internet as it is, I definitely don't want to be able to do it away from a computer as well. I'll always roll with old nokias.
