Im sure theres threads on this but i dont really feel like searching through to find them.

So whats the general consensus on this forum concerning OWS being an effective leftist movement?

Its a liberal social and political movement espousing a more effective "bourgeois-democracy" and more transparency in corporate dealings, in addition to more ethical and egalitarian distribution of wealth. This does not mean it does not have any sort of serious radical potential however. Its a sea of discontent and disenfranchisement in the soon-to-be aspiring ruling class of this country(young people)

While I more or less can see and agree with what you're saying...

the soon-to-be aspiring ruling class of this country(young people)

I find this problematic and inaccurate. Most of the young people in the Occupy movement won't be part of the "future ruling class."

If they were, they would more likely know it and wouldn't have joined said movement.

If anyone is going to be part of the future ruling class in the US, in this age of high inequality and low social mobility, it would be the sons and daughters of the elite; who most likely aren't in Occupy.

To the OP: the people who will respond in this thread are likely to give their own opinions of OWS. If you really want to get a "consensus" of what RevLefters think about it (although there is much disagreement about certain aspects of OWS) then you'll have to read some threads yourself
