Not that I would particularly care, since I find the American version of Coca-Cola to be rather shit, but would such secrets be burst open under a socialist society? I'd like to think they would.

in before no one will drink soda shit under socialism

Of course it would be revealed.

There would be no patents/copyright bullcrap holding back advancement.

How much of a secret is it? The ingredients are listed on the can so it would be more an issue of getting the measurements correct.

Cocacola tastes like shit anyway, so I'm not so concerned.

IIRC it's not patented or anything. It's just really really really really secret.

Isn't the KFC recipe even more secret? Don't employees of KFC have to sign a legal contract saying that they won't reveal the secret recipe?

Oh yeah, fair point

Also to the guy asking about KFC, the employees don't even know it, they just get given the powder stuff to put on the chicken, they don't know what it's made of.

apparently Cuba actually produces the old form of Coca Cola (though after the cocaine era version) which they got by seizing a coca cola factory during the revolution.

So, ironically, if you want 'classic coke' you can go to Cuba.

It is true. Mexico also makes original Coca-Cola, which is often sold at grocery stores in the U.S. in the Mexican Foods aisle. But if you don't want to go hunting for it, or you're feeling adventurous, just use the recipe I posted above. It's the real thing. :D

I love Mexican Coke. I don't understand how anyone could possibly like the American version over it.

No truer words have ever been spoken about soda.

Of course it would not. Only the inner circle of elite party members will know the secret recipe, enjoying the wonders and fruits of the beverage, while the masses are left with Pepsi, the worthless, traditionally and culturally bankrupt soda of toss and rags.

Turns out Rafiq is a Coca Cola executive. Also, writes pretty good counter-advertisements.

More importantly, will the secret recipe of KFC coating be revealed? That stuff is wasted on the chicken they use.

Viva Mexican Coca-Cola.

Yeah all the "secrets" and patents would be opened up and Coke and Pepsi wouldn't monopolize the drinks sold at stores like some kind of deal with the mafia. Flavors of drinks and soda would be produced based on what food collectives and communities wanted so probably in the short term coke would be made as is and still around - after a while who knows.

Community kitchens and restaurants would also know how McDonald's french fries are made (also cocaine but I'm just speculating:lol:) - although if that information was public, I doubt many people would still want them. And those who did want them still could probably just cut out the middle-man and eat a spoonful of salt chased by a shot of oil (and a bump of cocaine). And when information about McDonald's burgers and supermarket hot-dogs are made public, the communes will need to set up emergency sanitation crews to wash down the vomit flood that would follow such a public revelation.
