I'm not sure that I totally agree with your formulation. For instance, if someone works hard to murder all of their neighbours, I wouldn't see that as truly great. I'd have much more admiration for someone who didn't work hard and ended up not murdering their neighbours.

I'd rather put it, 'true greatness comes from not being an asshole to people'.

you have presented a very interesting hypothesis; but I do find some inequalities. The action of murdering someone is not considered by me to be hard work; but actually the opposite. I'm looking at this and thinking that that you must find it either easy to murder your neighbours, or enjoyable to murder your neighbours, or both, as the opposite of 'hard work' is surely 'easy play'. I hope none of these things are actually true, and I'm just not understanding you.
