i love the smell of bacon in the morning
though to be fair that lady who keeps whining is sort of annoying
and the chanting is creepy
eta: Haha. I love how people in the little chat box are counting down towards the arrests (4 minutes and counting) like it's New Year's Eve.
eta part deux: Suffice to say, anarchists would have made this immensely more entertaining. These yuppies aren't really doing anything at the moment.
eta part tres: 10 minutes until the arrests.

This is what happens when latte liberals pretend to be revolutionaries.

What is the point of occupying if you leave when they tell you too?
That's why this movement is fucking stupid.

This is what happens when latte liberals pretend to be revolutionaries.Indeed. Just watching these people is depressing. Also, I thought that girl crying because her friend got arrested was so insulting to the people of other nations who are being shot in the street.
No one ever even occupied anything. They just stood around and made some noise.

That's why this movement is fucking stupid. As opposed the the awesome class conscious movement of thousands and thousands of workers in the US?
They didn't leave when they were told to vacate, they stayed, the city was forced to mobilize their cops, the protesters were then outnumbered by a huge show of force by the LAPD and it seems most didn't stick around. Had things been organized differently or if the balance of forces had been different, maybe they would have stayed and had more of a showdown.
Cities have basically had to resort to huge mobilizations of police and waiting until protest numbers have dwindled in order to have any effect on this movement. So now, in order to continue, the movement needs to come to grips with this and figure out how to be more effective - it remains to be seen if they will figure out something new or if the movement mutate or if it will decline.
This is what happens when latte liberals pretend to be revolutionaries. Or when struggle has been in retreat, or at least modest, for a generation. Or when a country hasn't has a sustained left while also under pressure of a generation-long assault by the ruling class.

Everyone here criticizing. WHAT ARE YOU DOING? The movement might not be perfect, It has its flaws.. BUT what movement doesn't?
This attitude DOES NOT help.. YOU are not doing anything by judging and not at least showing solidarity with those people. I AM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE.
I'm a revolutionary leftist. Occupy is the best thing we have out here on the streets. I don't see any of you doing something similar or better.
