Fascinating entry about my home town (Gillingham)

Now, I'll admit that there's a bit of an angry snob in me as a result of the verbal and physical abuse I got growing up in Gillingham and other towns that no doubt appear on this site's lists...I'm older and ever-so-slightly wiser now, so am trying to get over my animosity towards 'chavs'.
The gleeful spite with which these guys decry the towns and their inhabitants doesn't get near the root causes and issues that create these dead-end towns and the 'chavs' that live there...reads like a right-wing tabloid story on 'feral' children and their 'slag' single mums
(It's pretty rare that any child is born with a pre-disposition to intimidation, violence, drug-abuse and listening to shit music on little radios on buses, just saying)
