Grinds my gears when people talk like this, especially under the pretext of a socialist system, where we would have the resources to explore space, take care of all of earths problems and then some.

Tyson and other "popularizes" of science are great people. I think they are doing a great job of making both youth and adults scientifically literate.

I am really surprised how morgan freeman is doing a lot of science programs these days.

I am really surprised how morgan freeman is doing a lot of science programs these days.

Eh, there's a lot of dumb crap on that program he hosts (Mysteries of the Universe?) For example, there was an episode on that discussed how your soul travels when you die (or something stupid like that.) The Science Channel sucks in general, though the show that British guy hosts is pretty good.

Yeah, Wonders of the Universe with Brian Cox is wonderful.
