I can't help but see the intrinsic irony in the U.S cover versus the rest of the world's cover.lol

What the fuck?

Actually, I recall a documentary in which neuro-scientists proved how stress and anxiety are very real health hazards, both as in mental health and physical health. Can't recall the name though (maybe "Killing Stress" or something like that).
EDIT: I forgot to describe one interesting aspect of this research, which is very much relevant for revolutionary socialists.
Namely, the research was conducted on a species of ape and on British civil servants. The common thread binding the two sets of subjects was hierarchical group organization (apes - bullying and molesting), and it was found out that there is a very high correlation, or even direct causation, with low positions in the hierarchy and a great increase in possibilities of serious health hazard. In fact, I think the research showed that this danger, possibility lessens and lessens as you climb the social hierarchy ladder.
But yeah, I totally understand why some people would think that anxiety is good...for some people. For instance, when the financial situation gets really bad and searching for a job turns up futile - we woulnd't want the unemployed to think that all of this crap is just ruining their lives. It's actually very nice to know that anxiety and stress can produce positive consequences - for instance, limiting the possibilities for worplace militancy and labour struggles.
Not surprised one bit. Ideology will be ideology.

Typical way of trying to downplay the situation in the US and abroad. They want to keep the public pacified. It is very obvious that it is done to help diffuse any revolutionary, or even reformist sentiments. It is an attempt to keep people from thinking about any politics other than the usual Democrat vs. Republican sham.

It is very telling, the way our national media seeks to keep the public pacified. The world's shifting towards an upward rise in worker-based conflict and America's media is basically playing the role of the person who, in the event of a conflict involving several people, tries to diffuse the situation by changing the subject. The thing is, you can't sweep everything under the rug; eventually, it starts becoming noticeable. Eventually, someone's going to point and say "Hey, what's that large lump under there?"
And that, friends, is when the shit hits the proverbial fan.

Ah, I saw this on Reddit. Its just clever selection. There were many examples where the US covers were far more relevant than the rest of the world.

I fucking hate how he media frames the debate by posing questions like, "is the hope of free elections and the Arab Spring at risk"?
:cursing: Idiots don't want to get it.

Rest of World: Revolution is coming
USA: Anxiety is good for you. If you lose your job you'll just get a better one. If the government cuts social services, it just means that they'll get replaced by cheaper market alternatives. If we go to war, then that's an opportunity for you to serve your country. If we demolish the 14th amendment its just a chance for minorities and women to prove their worth through the most meritocratic system around-capitalism. Ending unions, just another opportunity for you to show how great you are without them holding you back. Homeless, well tell me of an entrepreneur who didn't start that way. The police beat the shit out of you or a friend at a protest, that just means that you shouldn't be wasting your time there, consider it a friendly warning to stop protesting and start living the American dream.
And remember if you have anxiety after reading all of these things: It's good for you.
