According to David Chadd, the man on the floor put two games under his shirt to free up his hands to assist his grandson who was knocked down and hurt in the rush for video games at a local Wal-Mart. A cop who was nearby saw the man and immediately assumed the man was shoplifting. The 54-year-old man, Jerald Newman, was cooperating with the cop who put him in handcuffs and not resisting. Chadd says the cop suddenly tripped Newman and bashed his head nose first into the ground knocking him out and there is blood everywhere.

Fucking pigs! I assume the grandson you mentioned was looking on? What kind of message does that send to children? Police don't have the right just to smash someone's face against the floor, particularly if they were co-operating, unless, of course, they're using the "police-can-do-whatever-the-hell-they-want" law:glare:

I don't know if I could control myself if I witnessed this. I cannot say what I would do but I would probably end up inf cuffs.

What do they say at 1:35? They're definitely replying to the bystanders. Anyone catch it?
Also, what the fuck? :cursing:

Hate cops with a passion. ACAB. Things like this require vigilantism.

Its amazing how they are dragging that guy around flipping him over don't those jerks have to take a first aid course ?
He should have been put in the recovery position so that the blood wont flow into his airway.

To be fair to the police, there were some people with tents camping over in public space the night before - it was a dangerous and unsanitary scene... time for massive amounts of riot cops.
Edit: seriously though, that is fucked up.

It's fucked up that a cop slammed some old guy into the floor. It's doubly fucked up that a rampaging mob of consumers knocked a kid over trying to get at some cheaply priced trinkets. Every time I hear a story like this it just reminds me just how shitty capitalism is. You just know that some fat-cat prick is rubbing his hands in glee when he sees confirmation that the masses are congregating into his store.
