Well can Bush sink any lower?? More than half of the $20billion he has pledged to rebuild Iraq is a loan!! This means the Iraqis will not own there own homes and schools and other facilities and with the situation in Iraq getting worse by day as resistance to the occupation becomes worse is Iraq to become just another Vietnam???

To cap it all off that stinking f**ker is visiting Britain  Needless to say there will be a big protest on his arrival and Red Ken has said that banners will be allowed to be on show!!!!

The billions of dollars for the occupation of Iraq are grants. There was talk of making them loans, but they changed their minds. They were passed in the Senate as grants.

I don't think Iraq will be on the same scale as Vietnam however several things are similar to Vietnam at the moment. One thing Bush seem to have not yet realised is that the people of Iraq dont actually wan't his troops there, he's still claiming attacks are by saddam loyalists, I feel they are by militants seeking to get America out.

On the subject of Bush visiting Britain apaently £5million of British taxpayers money is being used to protect Bush! Talk about sucking up by Tony.

let's just hope that more us soldiers are killed than in vietnam, that way maybe future presidents will take heed of their poor handling in the aftermath of their fucked up invasions.

The answer is yes Bush can sink lower. Bush scares me. Unlike many I wanted to believe this war was not for oil but when the U.S. gov't started talking about using oil to pay them back for their expenses in rebuilding Iraq-it becomes hard to believe. I initially thought that the war was over many issues previously stated such as diverting attention, etc. I was not shocked to see that it was also motivated by the reconstruction jobs that would be open to mainly American corps owned by guys like Burton who are close buds of Cheney and whose company gave Dick $20million in stock options. I am an American and I believe since Bush started this war, and since it conveniently helps american corps., the U.S. should foot all of the bill. It was a preemptive war not a war of self-defense. Ugh! It just pisses me off how brainwashed, ignorant, and apathetic many u.s. citizens are! I dont want anyone to die including the u.s. troops, but not everything can be blamed on Saddam. I must have been born in the worng country b/c I see the indifference everyday....."oh those poor Iraqis"...."Its a good thing they were liberated from Saddam"....I just wish they could wake up and maybe even feel what its like to have a foreign power invade their country and murder 10k innocent people in the process. The sad thing is its gonna take more than that for all the disillusioned in the u.s. to open their minds and think about more than wether they will take their kids to Mcdonalds or Wendy's for dinner.

Love and Respect,

First of all, welcome to the forum...

Yeah, right... You know that George Bush was not democratically elected, right?

Maybe someone ought to invade our country, to bring us democracy and liberate us from a militaristic bully... sound familiar?

Americans should be grateful for the occupation. And we should shut up when tens of thousands of us die after being bombed when the occupier attacks. And we should submit our natural resources to help the occupier pay for the bill of rebuilding our devastated country. But it is all for the best, since we no longer have that despot Bush to lord over us.

Man Bush is a fucking wanker YES!! I can't however condone the death of American or British troops!! I think it is a tragedy that so many lives have been lost beacuse of this illegal and Immoral war. It makes me sick to my stomach!!!
The fact that more lives have been lost since the supposed 'end of the war' makes me sicker!!
What you need to remeber is that the disillusioned troops are only following orders and are not strictly to blame, although I'm not letting them off the hook, they need to stand up for themselves and tell the fascist bastards that rule them they they no longer want to be a part of this fucked up occupation!! It seems Iraq has had one Fascist dictator replaced by another fucker!!!!!   man it fucking pisses me off!!! And all for fucking oil!!! Of course it makes sense in some ways!?! Oil is a non renewable source, so control the oil control the world!! The Brits will remeber the devastation that the fuel strikes nearly caused!!

MIN, grants, loans what's the fucking difference?? America wouldn't be doing it if it didn't involve profit!!! They fuck a country up then promise to rebuild it at a hefty price and a HUGE profit it!! Isn't that what capitalism is all about!!!

ecg,

Your facts were somewhat innaccurate and potentially misleading. I simply corrected you. I feel the same anger you do over this military domination and destruction for the profiteering of the U.S. ruling class.

The Bush administration is fucking the American people by making us pay with tax dollars for an occupation that is getting our soldiers shot for the profit of corporations with GOP ties. The only difference is that the Iraqis will not have to pay with oil or money in addition to the price they have paid in blood...

Mate, no worries!!!!
We too are paying millions of pounds for the occupation when our health service and other such services are slipping down the pan!! They are even talking about inflatable tents in the car park because there isn't enough room in our casualty/ER department!! How sick is that!!
If you have better or more recent facts than me, and they are correct, please correct me!! I don't think I could make the U.S or Britain sound any worse than they are, could I????
