Well I take the practice tests and the math and science sections are pretty difficult. I dropped out in 10th grade and didn't pay attention halfway through 9th grade because I already decided to drop out the following year. In other words, 75% of the test was stuff I never learned. I look at shit like numbers in parentheses with small numbers on top and am completely lost. The science questions confuse the shit out of me because I can't remember anything I learned.
How do I go about studying this stuff when I never learned it or can't remember anything I learned back then? I literally have no idea where to start.

Most places have classes you can take to prepare you for the GED. Or you could just enroll in a community college, a two year degree (associates degree) is often viewed as an alternative to a high school diploma.
I wish I had more advice to give you, but I had a much easier time with the GED test than you seem to be having.

How long is the test? Also will 60% give you a passing grade? I usually end up answering 5 out of 10 questions right on the math and science sections and am sure I can bump the score up.
I feel like such a fucking idiot. I can read papers on economics and understand the theoretical concepts rather well, but I can't figure out numbers operations questions.
Thanks for your answer.

I don't remember how long the test was, its been years now since I've taken it, but I think it was like 100 questions per section and a two page essay?

Go to your local library, get practice books. Do the exercises. Also might I ask what subjects are on this exam. Regentsprep might be able to help. It more or less covers high school material. Which ones are you struggling on. If you need any help I can answer any questions that you have via PM, don't be afraid to PM me.

I will get the book at the library. The only sections I have problems with is physical science and numbers operations. Hopefully I can learn this rather quick so I can go into the new year with a GED.
If I have any questions, I will take advantage of the offer to pm questions your way. Thanks.

This and,
Alot of times its hard to look at practice books and understand formula's without being taught them first. While you are at the library, ask the librarian if there are local mentor/tutor organizations that will teach you. Then knock out those practice books.
Much respect for pushing past such a barrier in your life and accomplishing such a huge goal. Once you have accomplished this, you will have all sorts of opportunities open up for you.
