Consider the lyrics to "Mother":
Mother do you think they'll drop the bomb?
Mother do you think they'll like this song?
Mother do you think they'll try to break my balls?
Mother should I build the wall?
Mother should I run for president?
Mother should I trust the government?
Mother will they put me in the firing line?
Ooooh is it just a waste of time?
Hush now baby, baby, dont you cry.
Mother's gonna make all your nightmares come true.
Mother's gonna put all her fears into you.
Mother's gonna keep you right here under her wing.
She wont let you fly, but she might let you sing.
Mama will keep baby cozy and warm.
Ooooh baby ooooh baby oooooh baby,
Of course mama'll help to build the wall.
Mother do you think she's good enough -- to me?
Mother do you think she's dangerous -- to me?
Mother will she tear your little boy apart?
Mother will she break my heart?
Hush now baby, baby dont you cry.
Mama's gonna check out all your girlfriends for you.
Mama wont let anyone dirty get through.
Mama's gonna wait up until you get in.
Mama will always find out where you've been.
Mama's gonna keep baby healthy and clean.
Ooooh baby oooh baby oooh baby,
You'll always be baby to me.
Mother, did it need to be so high?
Simple, yet vehemently anti-establishment.

The Wall is one of the greatest albums ever!
Out of Pink Floyd's four greatest albums, the Wall is my personal favourite. Damn, tehy're all extremely good.
I like all the songs in that album.
Mother is good.
Comfortably Numb is good.
Vera is good.
In the Flesh is good.

Unfortunaitly it's not just you...
... But you're still wrong, DarkSideOfTheMoon is the best!

I bought Echoes, it's a bit crap how they put in newish stuff and stuff from like 1968, I think their last few albums have only produced 2 songs that I think are good, High Hopes and On the Turning Away.
I love the Floyd though.

Dark Side is an extremely close second... Although, that double album with the green cover (I forget the name) of one of their live performances is excellent as well. A friend of mine has it, and one night towards the end of a long party several of us just turned out all the lights in my house and listened to two hours of magic. I think it might have been The Delicate Sound of Thunder; correct me if I'm wrong.

Floyd's greatest albums are without a question Dark Side of the Moon, Wish you Were Here, Animals, and the Wall. They're all absolutely magnificent. I was never impressed with anything before those four, though. After Waters left, they made a few good songs like On the Turning Away which Ian mentioned, High Hopes, Learning to Fly, and One Slip. Out of those four best albums which i mentioned, I really can;t choose a favourite, I just can't, I was lying. DSoftheM is pure genius, the songs are beautiful, but Wish You Were Here is too, it's so melodic and sincere, good stuff. Animals is wonderful too. It has some of the greatest songs and lyrics. And the Wall is great because it's like one great big song, it's beautiful. I love Pink Floyd.
I would like to once again reiterate how beautiful On the Turning away is.
On the turning away
From the pale and downtrodden
And the words they say
Which we won't understand
"Don't accept that what's happening
Is just a case of others' suffering
Or you'll find that you're joining in
The turning away"
It's a sin that somehow
Light is changing to shadow
And casting it's shroud
Over all we have known
Unaware how the ranks have grown
Driven on by a heart of stone
We could find that we're all alone
In the dream of the proud
On the wings of the night
As the daytime is stirring
Where the speechless unite
In a silent accord
Using words you will find are strange
And mesmerised as they light the flame
Feel the new wind of change
On the wings of the night
No more turning away
From the weak and the weary
No more turning away
From the coldness inside
Just a world that we all must share
It's not enough just to stand and stare
Is it only a dream that there'll be
No more turning away?
Yet Another Movie
One sound, one single sound
One kiss, one single kiss
A face outside the window pane
However did it come to this?
A man who ran, a child who cried
A girl who heard, a voice that lied
The sun that burned a fiery red
The vision of an empty bed
The use of force, he was so tough
She'll soon submit, she's had enough
The march of fate, the broken will
Someone is lying very still
He has laughed and he has cried
He has fought and he has died
He's just the same as all the rest
He's not the worst, he's not the best
And still this ceaseless murmuring
The babbling that I brook
The seas of faces, eyes upraised
The empty screen, the vacant look
A man in black on a snow white horse,
A pointless life has run its course,
The red rimmed eyes, the tears still run
As he fades into the setting sun
And towards the end it has some kick ass guitar.

Delicate Sounds of Thunder does not have a green cover, it is a double album and it is live, however.
But it is a great album. It has no original songs, though, so it doesn't count. Sorry.

Still didn't see it, but that makes the second cover I've seen for the Delicate Sound of Thunder album.

Some of those album covers are a tad weird.
I've never seen the Relics cover like that.

Ultimate strangeness... I feel like my initiation of this thread is like passing gas in a Salvador Dali painting...
