I'm looking for a few Leftist documentaries to watch over the next two weeks, (I have some well sought after free time) I'm currently downloading ''The War On Democracy'' after reading about it on a Chavez thread. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated but I'm not going to bother wasting my time watching Michael Moore films

This may me a liberal documentary rather than a leftist one, but it's about marijuanna and makes a good case for legalizing it, ect. It's called The Union. Also try the manufacturing consent movie, John Pilger's other movies, South of the Border by Oliver stone. For a less well produced one, try vivir la utopia.

Two documentaries on Cuba and Fidel Castro I would recomend are Fidel and 638 Ways to Kill Castro.

A place called Chipas is a good documentary about the Zapatista's, though if I remember correctly it is in English subtitles and a bit biased, but worth a watch.

I'm sure that collectively, we can create subs in English.

Crossing the Line was pretty good if not a little strange. Also A State of Mind is pretty good as well it is about two young gymnasts in the DPRK taking part in the Mass Games. Interesting docus that are fairly evenhanded when you look at the subject matter they deal with.

The Wobblies. A bit old, and like most accounts of the IWW it ends around the 1920s or 30s, but still good.
