Guns aren't actually a bad thing to have. Most of us, at least from a revolutionary perspective believe that people should be entitled to use guns to protect themselves from capitalist oppression and to prevent capitalist restoration.

I have guns, and that doesn't prevent me from also hating them.

well from some perspective guns are an good thing but from other they are bad. If an madman gets his hands on an weapon you are in trouble.
but as for revolutionary uses: revolution usually starts in war. So you have guns already like in Russia 1917-i think it was called February revolution or the workers revolution if you will. They already have guns because they were in war with the Germans so they can say screw this and go out of war.
Ok i meet to say: Guns in some ways are bad but in other they are good and in many cases they turn out to be bad

Do you walk around nude? How often do you go shopping? Why should a fat capitalist make money out of the death of a vegetable? Sorry for barging in like this, but I get a bit irate when people try to make out vegetarianism to be a moral issue and pair up meat eating with a value judgement.

Instead of being so condescending, why not realise the inconsistencies in your argument? You can also raise your own animals, but as long as you don't create all your stuff you're not making a difference. Tell me, the clothing you are wearing right now, did you sew them all by yourself, or did you buy it from a department store which acquired them from a sweatshop in Pakistan or Bangladesh employing 9 year old kids who hardly see the light of the day?

Why?
I dislike them because for one, they were designed as weapons, and only later adapted into tools (instead of the reverse), and because they symbolize all the evils of the State.
I have them for protection against more guns.
