Sam Husseini, best known for his work with Washington Stakeout, has been suspended from the National Press Club in Washington, apparently for no other reason than asking Prince Turki al-Faisal, the former head of Saudi intelligence, a tough question.

He's right, but he still sounds dickish in the way he is saying it.

I actually think he was being perfectly reasonable.

Even this ?
So are you saying that Arabs are inherently backward?
That would lead me to ban the journalist too unless he has a damn good reason and even then i would keep an eye on him.

when the people your questioning ultimately decide what questions are appropriate it's hard to be a good journalist

There are far better ways to get your point across than the way the journalist did so. I guess it just annoys me at how liberals refuse to think systemically and engage in the most pious self-righteous manner that wins them no favors.
The Saudi officials answers were more than sufficient for the ruling class and the media. They know the Saudi government engages in everything he hinted at.

I doubt it, he himself appears to be Arab. I think he is asking the prince if that's what he is implying, since it may come off as such, and how awfully terrible the justification in his answer was.
