How is CUNY viewed in NYC? I am really looking at attending their Architecture program as soon as I am finished with my planning masters.

The City College of CUNY offers an M.Arch degree which I am eyeing.

But I am wondering if it's worth the cost of tuition, moving to a new city, etc.

I hear good things about the program itself but I am wondering what the overall academic reputation of CUNY is in the city.

Thanks.

Depends which CUNY school I guess. City, Lehman and Hunter are considered 'better' than the Brooklyn or Medgar Evers colleges from what I've gathered.
I don't know about City college, but when I visited Hunter there were fliers on the walls advertising a lecture on Marxism, and their Students for Justice in Palestine chapter was having an event
Sorry to dredge up an old thread, I might be going a CUNY in the fall so I searched to see if there was any opinion here

from what I know CUNY schools all have different specialties. so it really depends which one you go to and what you want to study at that particular one.
