Even if the technology worked, which I doubt, it could never exist in a Capitalist world, as free energy would mean its destruction.
Also, passive solar heating/cooling and proper distribution would eliminate the two most pressing energy demands we have.

This sounds like a great idea, but as Zay said, it couldn't exist in a capitalist world, at least not on a large scale, since the major companies/corporations wouldn't let it happen, since it would ruin them.

Solar energy, electric cars, all of it will never pick up ground, for the exact same reasons mentioned above. If it's free now, it won't be for long.

While it is generally considered a "conspiracy theory", and might well be. Many real moves have been made against those who have developed anything which would amount to "free" energy or would make current energy far more efficient so capitalism will assure that we have nothing but what makes money for the corporations.
