Well, the "Global Association for Culture & Peace" (if I have the name right) looks like just another Christian racket.

The Korean thing is kind of hard to figure out...it seems harmless enough but you always have to be suspicious about these "international friendship" groups. They are often "fronts" for people with a very different agenda than you might anticipate.

Redstar, wow I'm impressed.

I'm not sure I would have come to the same conclusion 4 months ago, but you are spot on.
Both organisations are part of the same group.

Christian...kind of, they use the bible to show members that their founder is the Messiah.
Really they are all about money and bringing girls to their leader.

I happen to live in Korea 10 minutes drive from their HQ, and I met the Messiah's brother during the strangest night of my life, when i accepted an invitation to go "hiking" and found myself smack bang in the middle of Korea's most dangerous cult.
If you know abit about cults, they are an offshoot of the Moonies.

Here's where I'm writing about my adventures with these nuts: (been writing almost everyday for over 2 months, funny stuff imo)...

The Messiah guy is a wanted by Interpol for rape, and I'm hearing lots of stories from excult members that many raped may be a long way from finishing their schooling

What's up Mr. Porridge.

I went to that board and read quite a bit of your adventures with the cult, weird shit. I was wondering, when do they have these confrences in Vancouver ? I live in Seattle about 2 hours from Van, I'm up there all the time, it seems like it might be fin to go fuck with some crazed cult members.

Anyway, good shit, scary shit, I'll read the rest later.

You sound like a good guy, you like the beer, and apparently "porridge" (what is that ? Is it like oatmeal ?). Are you a communist ? Why are you in Korea ? I got the impression you weren't Korean.

Hi urban Rabble,
Wow thanks for reading!!

haha yeah porridge is oatmael....we call it that in Australia. I'm an Aussie teaching english in Korea, quite a fun job,
Nah sorry I'm not a communist, not really political at all, but hey I'll have a read here sometime anyway.
I'm on a bit of an anti-cult crusade (in case you haven't noticed) so I'm looking to post this info at as many places as I can. So although I'm not a communist, I'll still stick around and see what you guys have to say, won't hassle anybody here ...promise

(Hope you don't mind me including Comrade in my user name...I just liked the sound of Comrade Porridge)
Anyway I figure that whatever a persons politics, a group like the cult I'm talking about is something that most people would be against.

That Vancouver event was a once a year event they hold in a diff location each year, no idea where the next one will be.

But this cult is operating in Seatle today
[email protected] send them a nice intro email, say you love the site and want to join etc...and then have some fun!!!

I just read this reply to my question about the cults activities on university campuses,

Hi,
I was invited early this semester to come to "Bible studies" on campus and quickly realized that it was a cult. JMS is working all along the west coast of the US and Canada, in LA, Seattle, and Vancouver. They are doing a lot of 'evangelism' at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.

(here's the link....a Korean english language site working against the cult)
http://antijms.or.kr/~justally/frame.htm I post in the bulletin board as foreigner in korea...check out my question and"Jung and Children"

Thanks for reading, I appreciate it very much
