Interesting documentary on the situation in Greece that I am currently watching. Have not finished it yet but will comment if it generates discussion.

Very insightful look into the situation in Greece. Amazing at how the communists seemingly sided with the police over the anarchist, I mean I'm no fan of anarchists myself...but I'd never take the side of police against them, it's just like a treason to the movement.

It just seems like really sensationalist bollocks to me. Why focus on these battles in such a cartoonish way...Things like "the more militant people of the protests sought of disiss them a noobs"? No they don't! That's just stupid.

Those anarchists were cool. I liked the cut of their jib.

can we please stop calling the KKE communist? thier actions are an insult to the communist movement. stalinists, scum, whatever, but they are certainly not communist.

surely even anarchist conrades who reject any form of communism must see the distinction between stalinists and trotskyists / libertarian communists ect

I am an anarchist and have no problem with communists, you are right the KKE is not communist and does not deserve to be called so. Stalinist Scum vs. Anarchists would probably be the most appropriate title but I do not wish to start a Flame war so if a mod sees this, could they change the title to Greece Anarchists vs. KKE?

A quick point mate. Anarchists reject any form of communism? This is news to me. Did you maybe mean Marxism? But you are right enough, There is a more than a slight difference between your average Trot, and apologists for that murdering psycho, Joe.

The only anarchists who reject communism are those who are not our comrades.

Stop callling the "K"KE "stalinist".
The true stalinists from Anasintaxi is on the anarchists side against "K"KE.

This example of the KKE, is a prime example of how the left will not be able to unite under the leadership, or even cooperation of, a Marxist-Leninist party.

They will purge the lot of us.

As history has proven countless times.

What are the reasonings as to why the KKE/PAME defended parliament? All I know right now is that I'm looking at what I would like to call comrades being anything but that.

Way to throw all Communists under a bus.

All communists are Stalinists?

Otto Ruhle explained similar actions of the KPD, back in 1920, that the KKE seems to have taken follow of. Just replace the German KPD with Greek KKE, and you'll see what their reasoning for defending parliament was all about.

come on,you are not comparing the kpd, which led several armed uprising during the 20s with the kke...

and if you know anything about the history in the 20s in germany, then it is obviously clear that the analysis of otto rühle regarding kpds union politics and so on was wrong.

so for which one are you cheering communist or anarchist
p.s: why is pame protecting the parliament?

the conflict on front of the parliament has nothing to do with communists against anarchists. and of course as a marxist iam not on the side of reformists who defend the parliament.

I thought it was interesting when the anarchists were talking about how to strike was to utilize the most powerful weapon they had as workers, and it was about the "denial of wage slavery". It kinda pokes holes in the KKE theory that all the anarchists are just mindless hooligans/provocateurs, if those two are any indication.

Not if you know anything at all about the history of Official Communism.
