I'm considering starting a newsletter and would like some suggestions on names.

Also would like some content ideas?

What is the subject of the newsletter and what way are you going to write it? - as in, is it critical opinion, news, documentary-style reporting etc?

Oh, and stay away from cliché. Dont use names such as "Pravda" or "J'accuse".

The subject would mainly be local news from a pro-worker perspective.

Sounds good. Personally if it were me Id stay away from a leftist sounding name and instead focus on the community side of things. I might call it "The village" or "the x post/weekly/monthly" X being where the news in circulated. You can apply your politics within the publication. Where as if you called it something like "workers news" or "socialist press" people would immediatly take it as a leftist publication and many simply wouldnt read it for this reason.

What im saying is that if I were you I put my politics in the writing and not in the title. Hope it goes well for you comrade. :)

Does the name 'Global Standard' sound good? Yes it does have a nice ring to it. But as i want it to focus mainly on lcal struggles and such i believe use The X Standard.
