I found this interesting video on wimp.com (a very good site for videos btw, to all wondering) and I'd like to know what revleft thinks of it.

Now please, no moral bashing. I do not stand for this video, but I find it very fascinating and I think it makes some pretty valid points. And to be honest, I think Revleft needs some more Oxytocin around here anyways

That's most interesting, and while I think it would on the whole be an improvement for there to be more empathy in the world, I think the story about the con-man provides an interesting insight into how even ostensibly benign neurochemical can be hijacked for nefarious purposes.

Although this does raise the interesting possibility that the increased desire to see justice done, that is associated with elevated testosterone, could be harnessed to make better decisions.

I read this to say, Oxycontin at first and totally agree with that statement! Really though, it is my job to manipulate empathy everyday on the job as the Resource Development Specialist to an AIDS resource center.

There is a huge business to teach people how to manipulate those to give to causes and nonprofits. And when I say a business, I mean seminars on "how to increase donations".

The most powerful lesson I have learned this year is called "The Ask". People WANT to help others. It is very rewarding watching those that give no matter how big or small. There is peace (or a chemical release) in giving and working together for the good of man.

This information just proves to me that there isnt a spiritual force from above or a book of commandments we have to live by to be moral. We just have to give into that "feel good" feeling we get when we are.

Good OP, Comrade.
