Penn State students are severely disappointing me right now. He's JUST a coach. Universities are for learning not for football. I'm tired of people defending Joe Paterno, who allowed molestation and rape and is getting off with JUST a firing. It really makes me sick. Spanier and Paterno deserve to be punished much more than they are. They should be tried as accomplices to rape.

Yeah, the student behaviour is seriously wtf. Paterno covered up for a child molester, end of story. It baffles me that anybody would support him.

..You realize PSU has around 44,000 students, and maybe a mere 1000 were actually protesting/whatever, and at least half of those 1000 didn't actually care and just wanted to break shit, right?
Seriously, I'm sick of hearing this shit about PSU like their a cult of child molesters or something >.<

Well too fucking bad. When 8 boys get raped and then people protest against the sacking of those involved, either directly or indirectly, you're going to have to suck up the criticism. Who cares what their motives are, the fact they thought it was OK to protest under the guise of attacking the retribution against child molesters is fucked up and deserves criticism. Jesus fucking Christ, dude. Get a grip.

I go there Sam, there were more than 1000 protesters and even more defending the firing on social media.

They're almost as much of a pedophile cult as the catholic church.

Not all students at Penn State support corrupt coaches. There was a nice protest that happened several years ago:
If you have time/patience, Google: "Sit-in leads to 31 arrests" "daily collegian"
Sorry, I don't have enough posts to set up a link. This sit-in was several years ago, and I do not know whatever became of the Designated Supplier Program. If Penn State signed on, it's very likely that workers making collegiate apparel in Mexico and Honduras would've obtained job security and union rights.
Of course, I am embarrassed about explaining where my degree came from after seeing those meatheads tip the news van over Joe Paterno's firing. The students should be angry about tuition money being used for administrator's defense fees!
