Hey, I'm new here and I would like to introduce myself. I'm Adrien. I live in America and, as I'm sure most of you here that live in America know, the opposite side of the spectrum is getting more and more irrational, (and even worse, "loud"), so much that it almost makes thought impossible. I was directed here by a friend, and I am glad he did so. I identify myself as a socialist, and an atheist. Well... That's me.

Welcome aboard! Indeed, America has always been a center-right nation, but it's getting worse by the day it seems. Ive found the more irrational and reactionary our nation becomes, the more radical I get.

I think people have to have a material, historical basis before they say things are getting worse. In America they no longer go have picnic lunches where they go watch black people being lynched for whistling at a white women, shoot at natives "for sport" and (by and large) ridicule physically disabled people. Hardly anyone is sentenced for life imprisonment for simple drug possession any more, and saying you are gay or athieist in much of the country no longer elicits shock. On the economic front, yes, there have been many defeats; but this is true of every developed country.
