Clearly. And clearly you must understand how amazingly awesome what the Nicene creed considered heresy to be. (Gnosticism)

I have to say, I'm going to have to look up IPism... because if it's what I think it is, I'm saying that test is bs

It's probably because I said "matter and spirit are illusions. All there is is consciousness... "

10. (27%) Atheism / Secular Humanism

Is what I got. I found 2 or 3 questions a bit problematic. Specifically 2, 3, 4 and 9.

EDIT: Here is why:

2. When you look at the Milky Way or at Hubble photographs what do you feel?
Deep feelings of reverence, belonging, awe and wonder
Just awe and wonder, no more
I get on with my life on earth and am indifferent to the Universe
I see the work of the Creator and his presence in everything
I marvel at the power and wisdom of the God who created all this.
Not sure

I answered the first choice for this question. With a Low priority. I suppose "Just awe and wonder", would have been more fitting - really I wonder what are the actual possibilities of what the Universe actually may be, and mainly its purpose, and what the true role of humanity in it all actually is. Also I wonder how many other layers to this onion there may be.

3. How many gods do you believe in?
One God who created the Universe
Two or more gods with real powers
I use the word "god" as a metaphor for my feelings about Nature and the Universe
I don't believe in any kind of god
I don't think we can ever know or decide
Not sure

I answered "Not sure" for this one because it leaves out the possibility of there being "gods" or spiritual beings which are not the ultimate Source, Tao, Monad or Godhead. I did not answer "Two or more gods with real power" because that assumes all potential "gods" are equal in powers.

4. Do you believe in an afterlife?
I believe good people will go to Heaven
I believe in reincarnation
I believe we persist not as individuals, but through our actions and genes and people's memories of us, while our elements will be recycled in Nature
There is no afterlife of any kind, get used to it
I don't think we can ever know or decide
Not sure

This one too I answered "Not Sure". Where is the choice of ascension to a higher reality? You know - like the pharaohs and Jesus - this is different from "Heaven", although I suppose the concept of "going to Heaven" has morphed from the original idea of ascending to a new life of being a spiritual being or re-unification with the godhead - something Hermetica, Buddhism and Taoism seem to agree on.

I tried to take this quiz, but I couldn't finish it because I'm quite picky with the whole believing vs. knowing. I do not believe in ANY god(s), but I do not KNOW (with the exception of the Abrahmaic god) that there isn't any kind of god(s). Also, while I don't KNOW that there is or isn't an afterlife...I am indifferent to it. But again, I'm just being picky haha :)

It isn't very accurate as I am an Atheist, however were I not such, I would be a Naturalistic Pantheist or a literal Pagan (probably an Ásatrúar), so I suppose the quiz has some entertainment value. It's about as useful as those "Are you Gay?" tests.

World Pantheism alone determined the order
I suspect it is biased toward Pantheism like the the Nolan Chart is to the Libertarian Party.

-I don’t have those kinds of feelings about nature
-I get on with my life on earth and am indifferent to the Universe
-Nature and the environment are important for human survival, but I don't have any special feelings towards them.
Further more not a single one of my answers remotely hinted at me believeing in any kind of god, so why I have 40% monotheism in beyond me.

To those who asked about Liberal Quakers, this is what their beliefs boil down to (with my brief research and according to beliefnet.com, I'd suggest you actually go ask one)" God is love, love is eternal, and our actions in life should reflect love for all of humanity" They seem to be the least annoying breed of Christians because they don't let their beliefs get in the way of reality. It seems they support issues like LGBT rights and Abortion rights. The way they see it is, the world is the world and your choices are between you and God alone: so, live and let live!

I find New Age to be really shallow. >.>

New Age is basically mysticism\occultism, but extremely diluted to sell to the masses (= "fast food mysticism"). They basically tell people they can achieve the same level of enlightenment as the great ascetics and masters of old, but with none of the effort required. "Just listen to our cd's once in a while, that's it!".
Or even worse, they promise infinite riches and happiness just by reading their books....

Is there a word for describing the belief that humanity should remake the universe in our own image? Because I'm very much of the opinion that humanity can become an integral part of something much greater, but it's up to us to create it, for us to become more powerful, more intelligent and more humane than any of the gods that humanity has ever dreamed up. I like to think we have the potential to transform the indifferent universe into something more appropriate for ourselves.

As an agnostic pantheist, the results are acceptable :D

I'm an atheist, no surprises there. Even though I did say that I found nature awe-inspiring, I see no reason why 'God' or the term 'God' should have anything to do with it. If you're just using God as a metaphor for how you feel about nature, but you don't believe that an intelligent, supernatural being with power over the universe exists, please just call yourself an atheist, okay?

I don't get why people are afraid of certain words. I'm an atheist, socialist and I see no reason to stay quiet about my beliefs.

I think it depends if they are American or not. In the US, Christianity is still a big thing, and there coming out as an atheist can be very controversial.

Fuck me! Oh well...I guess I just have to start dancing around naked, smoking those special kind of herbs and sacrificing goats and small rodents to the God growing in my back yard.

I understand why someone would want to keep their atheism a secret, but if you say 'God is the universe' or 'God is nature' or 'God is the interconnectedness of people' you're basically admitting that you are not a Christian and have unconventional beliefs. It seems to be the word itself that is scares people who identify as pantheists, rather than the concept, since they are basically willing to admit that they do not believe in God in the convention sense.

Seems about right. Naturalistic Pantheism is a bit of non-belief though, I mean really if you're an atheist why change the name of the universe to "God"?
