These are not my words, these come from a new Revleft poster by the name of YAB SARPOTE. The reason im posting this is because he has a strong message to send but does not have 25 posts.

Please read on:

Dear comrades all over the world,

I am engaged in the peasants' movements along Java Southern Coast, particularly in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, to fight against the central and local Govt. collaborating with the MNC Indomines Ltd. based on West Aussie attempting to take control of the indigenous lands.. It's been 5 years now, and we are still solid to resist. But we want this evil MNC out of our homelands as soon as possible.. We are building international solidarity now, but we need more..

It's the on-going struggle of the peasants in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, where I live, to fight against the multi-national mining companies Indomines Ltd domiciled in West Perth. The state also supports the multi-nationals judicially as well as militarily..

For the brief history of our struggle, you can visit this following site in which you can read an article in English:

http://latitudes.nu/a-tale-of-sand-a...in-yogyakarta/ (http://www.anonym.to/?http://latitudes.nu/a-tale-of-sand-a-hidden-story-of-ecological-struggle-in-yogyakarta/)

This is our website in English:

www.peasant.tk (http://www.anonym.to/?http://www.peasant.tk/)

The article and the site are relevant as an introductory discourse. The newest update is that a farmer fighter Pak Tukijo was sentenced to 3 years in prison and he is about to pursue verdict in higher court. Another one is that we're going to organize Congress of Java Southern Coastal Farmers to establish a more encompassing farmer's organization which can unite all farmers along Java southern coast..

The objective of the Solidarity Act to Resist Iron-Sand Mining in Kulon Progo is primarily to demolish the collaboration between the corporate (Jogja Magasa Iron) and the State (state and local) to mine and establish iron mining centre in Kulon Progo which certainly will alienate and destroy the local farmer's life.. The long-term objective is to establish independent and autonomy farmer's life system which can resist the power of global capitalism and offer alternative way of life..

Some libertarian and/or anarchist from melbourne and london have contributed to the solidarity.. International Anarchist Network has continuously supported this movement in many ways.. The frontal one is several bombings both in Indonesia and abroad, funds and others .. You can read the report and solidarity call here:

Knight of Cydonia, where do you live by the way? Have ever been in Kulon Progo? It's old news for you? okay. However, It isn't a matter whether or not the struggle is new. I only want to inform comrades that more solidarity needed here as we have done just the same to other forums all over the internet.

There is a sympathetic journalist at the Jakarta Post named Morgan Harrington. He has written about the world's largest gold mine in Papua New Guinea. If you guys need good press, which everybody does, I would recommend contacting him.

Thanks. indeed a journalist from thejakartaglobe did write about the conflict, and a number of indonesian national media (printed/tv) also published it occasionally. however, its barely significant as it rarely exposed the corporate crimes and deception, and the potential socio-ecological threat there. it only covered it every time chaos during direct actions exploded..

dear all, since we need 'real' solidarity, media, funding, on-spot supports, do you have any links to revolutionary peasant organization, association, etc. (if any) having a favor of class struggle as in our case?

I don't have any personal contacts with such groups, but I thought I'd do a little research and maybe these are groups you may wish to be in contact with (if you aren't already, of course).
