I'm new to the leftist ways and i'm trying to get the ideaolies straight , if possible. Could someone please tell me the main tenants of Marxism?

Hmm, I would just say that Marxism is the analysis of capitalism. You could look up historical materialism and look into the class theory. You could look at this guy's videos for a brief run down of capitalism http://kapitalism101.wordpress.com/

To say there are "tenets" assumes a checklist of independent ideas the sum of which results in Marxism. I'd say that Marxist conclusions follow logically from a materialist understanding of human history. The only question that matters after that is 'which side are you on in the class struggle?' If your answer is 'the working class', then hooray you've made it to the end.
