Imperialism is just a form of Capitalism, you can't end Imperialism without ending Capitalism.

One thing that really spurred me on to become radically leftist and not just be content with my lot in life was when I found out and read about Patrice Lumumba. Essentially he was the first democratically elected Prime Minister in the Republic of Congo. He said some things about the past colonialisation by the Belgians (all true) and tried to enact some socialistic land reforms to better allow the peasantry to control their own produce and what was the result? Belgian paratroopers and South African mercenaries capturing and executing him.

Various civil wars and terrible warlords later and now the Republic of Congo is the rape capital of the world. Just tell that to some people and reveal how western interference in the world never ends in any way except one that leads to the oppression and suffering of the people of that region. Imperialism destabilises and takes advantage of less developed countries with the sole aim of exploiting the work force of that nation and reducing their ability to prosper.

Well the only way to combat imperialism would be too end the powers at be i.e The United States and the rest of the west and in some cases the Russian Federation and The "People's Republic" of China.
