It has come to my attention that many of you see Margaret Sanger as an inspiration or role model. I believe that it is somewhat contradictory to your doctrines. We all know Stalin murdered millions more than Hitler, (not saying Hitler was a good person by any means) and Mao murdered millions more than Stalin. This reasoning suggests that you like equal opportunity murderous dictators over murderous dictators who only murder certain groups of people specifically(even though we know the Bolsheviks specifically murdered Orthodox Christians when they came to power, but that doesn't seem to matter because Christians are always evil right?) .

How can you justify, then, the hate filled words of Ms. Sanger? You know, the ones about black people being subhuman weeds that need to be exterminated? Do tell.

To say that Stalin murdered more than Hitler is pure stupidity, while I do believe he did murder certain people who he viewed as a threat (Such as the leader of my school of thought, Leon Trotsky) he hardly eliminated "millions". And the Bolsheviks were targeting organised religion in general, not the Orthodox specifically...it just so happened that the majority of people in Russia were of the Orthodox faith, so it is but logic they would be the main group impacted). Now on the matter of Sanger, she might have been (slightly) racist, but far less so than most of her generation and advanced women's and reproductive rights quite a bit. And even with this slight racism, she opened her clinics in minority areas, and didn't allow discrimination in the organisations she ran.

It is easily misinterpreted, but Sanger is not saying that she wants to exterminate the "Negro population" here. she totally bought into the whole racial hierarchy bullshit. she was also close friends with the extremely racist reactionary, lothrop stoddard (I think thats how you spell it) -to the point she even had him serve on her birth control board of directors. so I think her goal to have planned parenthood clinics in minority neighborhoods could have been racist in nature. she was a socialist but *a lot* of socialists were also pretty racist back in the day.

Well whatever Sanger's ideas were.....she certainly could not be in advance of the Australians. For thousands of years at least....I watched( from behind the sofa) through my fingers a TV documentary where a male drilled a hole in the base of his penis. Family planning...and note the male taking full responsibillity... If conception was desired a plug of eucalyptus gum, inserted, would ensure the semen would reach the destination. What are you all waiting for guys? Do DRAPERS still make g-great drills?
I don't know if the jury is still out on Sanger..we can see the positive, sure, also the negative....context I suppose. What I do know is around Britain there are an awful lot of Sangers...they might be cloning them...they have an inbuilt instinct, utterly misplaced, on how we might lead our lives. What is good for us. Christians have been far and away the worst, followed joint second by socialists and positive thinkers. Can you imagine, if we did not have healthy British scepticism, to challenge these people and their ideas? The awkward squad. Life would be intolerable. Maybe they miss the Empire, the working class all too often just snaps at the hand that feeds them.....ingrates.

The idea that Australian aborgines were the lowest on the scale of intellectual capability was popular in the 19th century because of Francis Galton and other scientific racists.. Now thoroughly debunked, but Margaret Sanger was actually promoting "positive eugenics," which was her means of dealing with scientific racism.

As for the quote mentioned in the original post, it is a distorted quote or a misattributed one that you are referring to.

Yes there have been terrible incidents of anti-semitism in the Eastern Orthodox world and to its shame the Church has been involved but.... speaking of today....all of them? Every single one? Too much generalisation and too big a timeframe. You know the land on which the Knesset was built is leased from the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem?

All Russians were Orthodox Christians, to claim the Bosheviks killed them all would be to claim Bolsheviks killed all of Russia. Perhaps instead of kill you meant repressed, and not Christians, but the Church? It was an excellent idea, but, not radical enough, as obviously the Church survived and is still running today. A complete extermination of the institution would have been desirable.
